The Rapture

 It begins with a crowd and it begins with a people who are crying out waiting to be released. They are us. We are the people who are beneath the throne. Now there are other places and even other thrones but there is only one people who sit on the footstool and that is us.

 Now if we are the footstool of the Lord and we are beneath the throne then we are the age that cries out day and night “How long oh Lord, how long.” There has never been an age when a people have cried out for deliverance and there has never been a time when we were those people who have cried out “How long”.

 The fact is that people are ready for the rapture and they are ready for the return of Christ. So ready that some even now cry out “Don’t come until our loved ones are ready.” For we fear what we hear preached from the pulpit and people preach day and night about the waiting hell which is coming.

 This preaching is not meant to be in vain. It is not meant to scare tactic people into the jaws of hell. It is not meant to cast us who are Christian into the waiting jaws of the spirit of death. Now the spirit of death isn’t God and it isn’t a spirit that was in the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. That was a spirit that God put in the tree.

 There was another spirit which Moses had to deal with and that was called the Angel of Death. Now most of us are convinced that it was sent by God. To answer that fully would take more then an introduction to the rapture of the church. It would take pages to explain; so that means we can only surmise the purpose of the Angel rather than explain it fully. So we’ll surmise that the Angel was sent by Satan and that it was the one thing that God wanted men to avoid. Remember those who put the blood on the lintel and the door were saved from the Angel as it could not handle the blood of the lamb. Now think about this for a moment. If the Angel of Death were of God then God would just fashion a whip and snap it and those life lines would be severed. True He could do it even quicker but that would be an easy way.

 Now the Angel of Death didn’t have understanding of men or it would not have worked at killing just the first born. It was the same spirit that went into Herod and into other men of history who fought the birth of the first born and of children. It is the same spirit that rose up in America and it is the same spirit that tried to kill Jesus when he was hidden in the womb of Mary. It is the same spirit that tried to avoid spilling the blood of Christ because the Angel knew that the blood was the saving blood and it was the only thing it could not handle.

 Now this Angel isn’t bent on conquest so much as it is bent on destruction. It went after the children of America because it knew that Christians would not suspect their own as being those who would submit their first born or their children. No one suspects that abortion is wrong if it is couched in words that leave the child out of the equation. Words like fetus or embryo. They were words you used of a calf or a chicken and not a human. The fact is that we Christians failed to heed the word of advice given to us in scripture to list our sin with God. We kept sinning and we kept turning away and we kept failing to heed and we kept lying. And we kept sinning and we kept lying until finally it became a normal alternative to giving birth and giving up the child to adoption.

 Now you hate people to talk about abortion. Christians find it divisive and evil and think talking about it is the one fault of some Christians. The fact is many create a divisive spirit which is of sin. Divisive means to divide and sometimes to conquer and many try to divide Christ by making people feel guilty. Guilt is like a judge putting handcuffs on a person. A judge doesn’t put handcuffs on people. He has men of law who do that. The fact is men of law submit to the judge and the judge throws people into lawyers and lawyers try to get their client off.

 So when a Christians tells another Christians that they are in trouble over the law they had better have the beam out of their own eye lest they be caught in a twixt and between. To put it another way sin isn’t of God. Sin is a spirit which is based on the Angel and the law. Now the law is the part God sent to try to deal with sin. Sin wasn’t ready to submit and neither were those who came under the power of sin. Men could not be free and neither could Adam and Eve once they had submitted. Submitting happens when we are conceived. It is part of the process of life that sin rises up and produces a law called life. Life is a law just as sin is a spirit that breaks the law. There are no easy ways to deal with sin and sin will strive with you until you submit.

 Now there are ways to get over this and one is to be raptured. Now rapture is of God and God does want us to be raptured. Yet remember there is a mass gleaning. And that mass gleaning is something most of us conveniently forget. In the next chapter I will open your eyes to what the second coming of Jesus really is about.
